     God's Storehouse is a year round program and we depend solely on private donations to meet the needs of those who need a helping hand with food. We do NOT receive United Way Funds nor do we receive any Government Grants. We operate two programs within our system. One program is the Senior Brown Bag that entitles Seniors, at least 60 years of age and have a monthly maximum income of $1,126.00 for one person, receive food on a monthly basis. The Brown Bag program is a State Funded program and is audited very closely. The other program is for single adults and families. This program also has financial guidelines that must be followed. Single adults and families may receive food every other month. Everyone receiving food must fill out an application, show a current picture ID and proof of income as well as ALL the members in their household.

    Food donations and monetary donations come from people like yourself, and we want you to know that we appreciate all that you do. Any help you can give us by way of food can be brought to the church any Sunday or Tuesday. (PLEASE check the dates on all canned goods and packaged food, as we cannot give out food that is dated prior to 2005. Foods that are always needed are cold cereal, regular size & family size peanut butter, jams and Jellies (sorry, we cannot accept homemade), soups, canned vegetables; (green beans, corn, cream corn, peas, & carrots, etc.) canned fruit: (pears, peaches, fruit cock tail, apricots, etc.), soups, macaroni & cheese, canned meats (tuna, chicken, Vienna sausage), baked beans, pork & beans, to name a few. (Please save your one dozen size egg cartons as well as your clean plastic grocery bags. We use hundreds of bags each month).

    Monetary donations are always accepted and can be put in the collection plate or mailed to the church, P.O. Box 1209, Weldon, CA 93283. Please mark your check for God's Storehouse. Remember, these are YOUR family, friends and neighbors we are helping in their time of need.
